The Center For Mark Twain Studies and Quarry Farm in Elmhurst, New York

The Center for Mark Twain Studies at Elmira College in Elmhurst, New York is a tremendous resource for lovers of Mark Twain.  The Center for Mark Twain Studies owns Quarry Farm where Mark Twain and his family spent many Summers and where some of Mark Twain’s most well-known books were written including:  Life on the Mississippi, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur’s Court, and The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn.  At Quarry Farm a study was built for Mark Twain that was separated from the main house, and it was in that study where Mark Twain wrote many of his greatest works, and today you can find that study on the campus of Elmhurst College.
